Beautiful Joe Park celebrates a famous Canadian book that helped promote the humane treatment of dogs. The park itself is a fine dog friendly park with a statue of a... read more real dog whose life was the basis of the book. The poor little guy was abused and had his ears chopped off. The nearby town of Meaford is worth a stop to explore its rustic downtown shops, and the marina. I stayed overnight in the marina and enjoyed the great stars and fresh air. Cheap camping!
